During the protests, police arrested at least three people and handcuffed the individuals.

“How is that a constitutional right.”

The Irish police said they were operating a policing plan for Dublin’s city centre on Saturday afternoon.

In a tweet, they warned of disruption to travel in the area.

They said: “A number of traffic diversions and other policing plans are currently in place.

“Those who are conducting their essential journeys may meet obstructions on their journey and will need to avail of diversions.”
